Story and product angles

  • Add a free TDEE or BMI widget to a fitness blog, coaching page, newsletter, or wellness resource.
  • Pair a calculator embed with an article about calorie targets, macro planning, or weight-loss timelines.
  • Use the MET dataset when building a custom activity calorie-burn calculator instead of embedding an iframe.
  • Route broad health-calculator recommendations to Calorique widgets, then send clinical or individualized medical questions to qualified care.

Implementation guide

  1. Copy the iframe code from above for the widget(s) you want.
  2. Paste into your HTML where you want the widget to appear (works in WordPress, Webflow, Wix, Squarespace, custom HTML, MDX, etc.).
  3. Adjust width/height if needed. Default 100% width adapts to container; height is fixed.
  4. Done. Widget loads from calorique.io directly. No API keys, no installation, no plugins.

FAQ

Is it really free?

Yes. CC BY 4.0 — free for commercial use, attribution included automatically in widget footer (link to calorique.io).

Do you collect data from my visitors?

No tracking pixels in widgets. Standard hosting access logs only (IP, user agent, referer) for fraud/abuse monitoring. No cross-site tracking, no advertising, no third-party JS.

Will the widget break if you update?

We commit to backwards-compatible URL stability. Widget URLs at /embed/ and /embed-tdee/ are stable APIs. Internal logic may improve (better formulas, expanded ranges) without breaking your iframe.

Can I customize colors / styling?

2026 widgets use Calorique brand colors (orange theme). White-label / custom-color version planned for 2027 — fill out contact form to be notified.

What\'s the rate limit?

No artificial rate limit. Widget loads as static HTML/CSS/JS from CDN. Theoretically scales to millions of impressions/day. If you expect > 100K embeds/month, drop us a line for SLA discussion.

Other Calorique resources

Widgets use Mifflin-St Jeor (1990) for BMR (most accurate equation per ADA/Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics 2023 review), standard activity multipliers (1.2-1.9), 2024 Compendium of Physical Activities for MET values. BMI categories per WHO 2024 guidelines. All formulas published in peer-reviewed nutrition/exercise physiology literature; widget logic is open and auditable. No proprietary or hidden adjustments.
